AXIS SYLLABUS INTENSIVE WEEK
9.-15.11.2026

We are happy to welcome you for the 4th edition of the Axis Syllabus Autumn Intensive week in Vienna.

The week is structured into modules that can be enjoyed as a whole series or as individual modules, depending on your options. By participating in the entire event, you’ll follow a learning curve that explores the topic through two similar yet different perspectives: those of Monika and Nuvola. By participating in a module or a single lesson, you’ll have access to a smaller, yet comprehensive learning curve.

As well we are inviting to a cross over jam!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us: institut@hara.at

EFFORTLESS EFFORT
A week of Axis Syllabus composed by: 4 days of double morning Training

9.-12.11.2027

09.30-11.00 // 11.15-12.45 W/

led by: Nuvola Vandini and Monika Shuberth

How much tension is enough?

Every movement is a negotiation between holding and releasing, between tension and flow. Too much tension creates rigidity and exhaustion; too little leaves us without support or direction. Somewhere in between lies efficient, intelligent movement – the art of using exactly what is needed, nothing more.

In this workshop we will explore tonus as the body’s living language of self-regulation – the constant, subtle adjustments happening beneath conscious awareness as we move through space, shift postures, and respond to gravity. True effortlessness is not the absence of effort, but its precise calibration – a quiet intelligence at work beneath every gesture.

What we will explore

The physiological basis of muscle tone and its role in movement
How tension travels through the body’s connective tissue network
Navigating transitions between different postures with ease
The body’s natural self-regulation systems during movement
Finding the minimal effective tension for maximum efficiency
The relationship between release and support – how letting go can create more stability, not less

THE SPRING WITHIN
A weekend workshop – Axis Syllabus led by Nuvola Vandini

13.-15.11.2027

Friday: 16:30 – 18:30

Saturday: 10.00 – 13.00// 14.00-16.00

Sunday: 10.00-14.00

The body as a spring, not a motor

Beneath every efficient movement lies a hidden mechanism: the body’s capacity to store and release energy like a spring. This weekend we dive into the biomechanical principles that transform effort into ease, exploring how tissues, joints, and timing work together to create movement that feels both powerful and light.

What we will explore

Elastic recoil – how connective tissue stores and releases energy, turning compression into propulsion
Lead and lag – the sequential timing between body parts that creates fluid, wave-like movement
Stretch-shortening cycles – the spring-loaded mechanism behind jumps, bounces, and efficient walking
Joint play – the subtle space within joints that allows freedom without instability

Through hands-on exploration and Axis Syllabus principles, we’ll discover how the body’s architecture already contains the intelligence for effortless power – we simply need to learn how to access it.

Open to all levels – no prior experience required
