Ich bewege mich so, wie ich meinen Körper denke, das heißt gemäß meines persönlichen Körperbildes. Ist dieses jedoch jeglicher Realität entfremdet, stehen meine Gedanken meinem Körper nur im Weg. Daher ist um-denken-tanzen so oft so wichtig, auch wenn es Zeit erfordert. An diesem Wochenende erarbeiten wir uns spielerisch und zugleich analytisch dynamische Bewegungssequenzen. Wir setzen bildhaftes Anschauungsmaterial und anatomisch basierte Informationen in direkte Beziehung zu unserer persönlichen Körpererfahrung. Dabei können wir das Axis Syllabus Notationssystem nutzen, um unsere Sinne zu schärfen und Klarheit in unser Körperschema und unsere Bewegungsabläufe zu bringen. In der Contact Improvisation erproben wir dann unseren Orientierungssinn, die reflexartige Verkörperung unserer Anpassungsfähigkeiten und unsere Bewusstseinsbreite. Schließlich, tasten wir uns im eigenen und mit anderen Körper schrittweise an komplexer werdende Bewegungsmotive heran, vom Stand zum Boden und vom Fall zum Absprung und all dem was dazwischen passieren mag und nicht selten bestmöglichst passieren sollte/könnte.

I move as I think my body, that is, according to my personal body image. However, if this is far from any reality, my thoughts will stand in my way. That’s why re-thinking is so often so important, even if it takes time. During this workshop we will playfully and analytically approach dynamic movement sequences. We will put visual material and anatomically based information in direct relation to our personal bodily experience. In this endevour, the Axis Syllabus Notation System can help sharpen our senses and bring clarity to our body sheme and our movement language. In Contact Improvisation we will test our sense of orientation, the reflexive embodiment of our adaptability and our breadth of awareness. Eventually, we will gradually approach more complex movement motives, from standing to rolling and from jumping to falling and everything that may/should/could happen in-between.

Axis Syllabus teacher, dance artist, performer, expert of the Axis Syllabus Notation System, independent curator, author, designer, polyglot, project coach, and active member of the ASRM (Axis Syllabus International Research Meshwork).
She was born in Germany as the daughter of South Italian immigrants from Puglia. She began her dance training at the age of 13. She graduated in tailoring, earned a degree in Fashion & Textile Design from NABA in Milan and obtained an MA I in Applied Arts and Artistic Direction at the École Duperré in Paris.
„I cultivate a particular interest in anything that can facilitate motor learning and the refinement of movement coordination applied to dance, partnering, and Contact Improvisation. I like to investigate levels of stress and physical resistance as part of the learning process. Since 2018, solo, duo, or collective performative creations have been an integral part of my research mode. From my previous experiences in the context of American Dance Sport and Fashion, I have also developed an interest for traditional, contemporary, and future male and female codes and role models.“
